Weekday dramas experience slight dips in ratings, one drama falls by 6 places

The ratings of all dramas on air have dropped to different extents.

K-dramas have been more vibrant than ever with various series recently aired, including “King the Land,” “Revenant,” and “See You in My 19th Life,” all of which boast high rating and break records. However, according to released statistics, it seems that all dramas are witnessing a common rating drop this week. Monday dramas were especially affected.

At the beginning of the week, three Korean dramas “Lies Hidden in My Garden” starring Kim Tae Hee, “Heartbeat” starring Ok Taecyeon, and “Delightfully Deceitful” starring Kim Dong Wook – Chun Woo Hee experienced rating drops to different extents. “Delightfully Deceitful” plunged from 3.67% to 3.02%, reaching an all-time low in the drama.

“Heartbeat” also went through a steep decrease after airing its first few episodes, from 3.5% down to 3.3%. This is a new personal low for a drama aired on KBS. The drama falls by 6 rankings to nearly the bottom of the top 20 dramas on public broadcast stations.

“Lies Hidden in My Garden” is not an exception. While the drama is going through some of the most thrilling events yet, its rating dropped from 2.55% to 1.97%. Nonetheless, the series is still in top 3 of daily rankings and has hopes of bouncing back as there are only a few episodes left.

Competitions are going strong with unexpected twists within and between established broadcasts and new platforms. Currently, “The Real Has Come” reigns at No. 1 nationwide and among public broadcast stations. At the same time, “King the Land” and “Revenant” are going head to head with two different stories and contrasting moods.
