Um Ki Joon and Hwang Jung Eum’s “The Escape of The Seven” is criticized for causing public harm during filming

The filming team of SBS’ new drama “The Escape Of The Seven” was punished for causing public harm during filming.

According to YTN Star coverage today (Dec 5th), the staff of “The Escape Of The Seven” illegally parked a prop car on the sidewalk while filming near Jangchung-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul on Nov 27th. A citizen who saw this reported it to the district office’s administrative support bureau and the filming crew was fined.

Citizen A told YTN Star, “The prop car was parked on the sidewalk, so some citizens had to walk over what appeared to be a subway vent. I wondered why citizens should give up our convenience and take risks for them to film the drama,” they said.

According to A, the SBS filming team’s problem was not only illegal sidewalk parking. Only the prop van was fined for illegal parking, but SBS filming cars, vans, and buses that participated in the shooting earlier in the day all occupied one lane, causing inconvenience for vehicles that were forced to change lanes.

A shared the inconvenience caused by the filming staff on a portal site and immediately received about 100 comments under their post. Many netizens agreed, saying, “The power trip of broadcasting stations is no joke,” and “I have had similar experiences.”
