TWICE’s sub-unit MISAMO unveils pre-release track “Marshmallow”

The first official sub-unit of TWICE, MISAMO, has revealed the pre-release song “Marshmallow” from their Japanese album.

On June 16th, JYP Entertainment announced, “Ahead of MISAMO’s official release of their first mini-album ‘Masterpiece’ on July 26th, we have pre-released the audio and music video for track 3, ‘Marshmallow’.”

TWICE MISAMO’s new song “Marshmallow” combines a sweet sound with hip-hop elements, allowing fans to experience the unit’s charming vocals. The lyrics convey a message of finding oneself and loving oneself, bringing positive energy to the fans. Meanwhile, the music video showcases Japanese members Mina, Sana, and Momo transforming into a part-timer, an influencer, and a dancer-intern, turning ordinary daily life into sparkling moments and captivating the viewers.

Meanwhile, on June 14th, the jacket image of the mini-album was revealed on the official Japanese SNS of TWICE, raising anticipation about album’s diverse music and visuals/

On the other hand, MISAMO’s Japanese debut album includes a total of seven songs, including the title track “Do Not Touch”, and b-side songs “Behind The Curtain”, “Marshmallow”, “Funny Valentine”, “It’s Not Easy for You”, “Rewind You”, and “Bouquet.” 

K-pop’s representative producer, Park Jin Young, wrote the lyrics for “Do Not Touch”, whilst Momo, Mina, and Sana, contributed to the lyrics for “Funny Valentine”, It’s Not Easy for You”, and “Rewind You”, respectively, infusing them with a special sentiment.

MISAMO will hold the mini-album release showcase “MISAMO JAPAN SHOWCASE 2023” on July 22-23 at Osaka Intex Osaka Hall 5 and on July 25-27 at Tokyo PIA Arena MM, celebrating the long-awaited debut of Twice’s first official unit, which many have been eagerly anticipating.
