TWICE to become the first K-pop girl group to hold a stadium concert in the U.S.

With their upcoming stadium concert in LA, TWICE is the first K-pop female act to hold one in North America.

On March 31, JYP Entertainment announced on TWICE’s official SNS accounts, “TWICE will hold an encore concert as part of their fourth world tour ‘TWICE 4TH WORLD TOUR ‘Ⅲ” at the Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles on May 14th (local time).” With 22,000 seats, TWICE is set to become the first K-pop girl group in history to meet local fans through a stadium concert in North America.

TWICE

Last month, TWICE successfully completed seven concerts with 100,000 attendees in a total of 5 cities, from The Forum in Los Angeles on February 15 to UBS Arena in New York on February 27. The U.S. tour was scheduled to be held 5 times in 5 cities, including Los Angeles on February 16, Oakland on February 18, Fort Worth on February 22nd, Atlanta on February 24th, and New York on February 26th, but all sold out at the same time as soon as tickets went on sale. In response, Los Angeles on February 15th and New York on February 7th were added, and tickets for these two nights were also sold out at high speed, showing TWICE’s explosive global popularity.

As of 2021, TWICE, the only K-pop girl group that succeeded in entering Billboard Hot 100, will repay the enthusiastic love and support of global fans by recreating the exciting emotions of their U.S. tour, through splendid performances in an encore concert in LA on May 14th.

TWICE

Prior to this, for three days from April 23th to 25th, TWICE will hold a total of three concerts at Tokyo Dome, which is known as the “sacred place for performances” in Japan, heating up their world tour. TWICE’s upcoming Tokyo Dome concerts will take place in-person for the first time after about 2 years since “TWICE WORLD TOUR 2019 ‘TWICELIGHTS’ IN JAPAN”. It is going to be a special time for TWICE and Japanese fans as this year also marks the 5th anniversary of their official debut in Japan. In 2022, TWICE will launch a variety of projects in the Japanese market, starting with the 4th best album ‘#TWICE4‘, which was released on March 16 and topped the Oricon weekly chart, followed by the release of the 5th anniversary DVD and the 4th full-length Japanese album in July.

Recently, TWICE has successfully held their fourth world tour and is cementing their status as a ‘K-Pop representative girl group’. On December 25th and 26th last year, TWICE kicked off a new world tour at KSPO Dome (Olympic Gymnastics Stadium) in Seoul, Korea. From February this year, TWICE began a magnificent U.S. tour with 7 stops, attracting 100,000 fans.
