TWICE members posted the same group photo on their personal SNS prior to contract renewal with JYP
As TWICE celebrated their 7th anniversary this year with contract renewals, netizens are looking back at the group’s strong friendship.
On July 12th, JYP Entertainment announced that all members of TWICE had extended their contracts prior to the expiration date this fall. Since it is not easy for all members of a Kpop idol group to renew their contracts, this announcement is drawing a lot of attention.
One of the reasons cited for TWICE’s continual contract extension is due to their tight friendship. Previously in May, all members opened their personal Instagram accounts and posted the same group photo on their feed to prove this.
In particular, each and every member posted a photo of themselves together on the stage before their concert night began. Some members were holding and hugging others, while the rest made peace signs, looking at the blue sky and the vast rows of seats, making fans smile.
After the announcement of the contract renewal, TWICE Jeongyeon expressed her feelings on Bubble, a communication app with fans, saying: “I really cherish the members so much, and we have no intention of falling apart yet.” The female idol also expressed that it was the close bond between TWICE members that prompted her to stay, writing: “I don’t want to lose them because they are more precious than my family at times.”
Other members also expressed their happiness by posting group photos and heart emoticons on their respective Instagram stories to celebrate the great news.
TWICE, who debuted with the title track “Like Ooh Ahh” in 2015, has become a representative Kpop girl group with massive hits like “Cheer Up”, “TT”, “Signal”, “Knock Knock”, and many more.
The group recently proved their global popularity by selling out 9 concert nights in 5 cities of their American tour “TWICE 4TH WORLD TOUR ‘Ⅲ’”.
