TWICE Jeongyeon delivered a congratulation to her sister, actress Gong Seung-yeon, on winning Rookie of the Year at the Blue Dragon Film Award.
On November 26th, Jeongyeon uploaded a story video on TWICE’s official Instagram. This video showed the broadcast screen of the 42nd Blue Dragon Film Award held at KBS Hall in Yeouido. When the MC was about to announce the winner of the Rookie of the Year category in which her older sister Gong Seung-yeon was nominated, Jeongyeon turned up the TV volume and zoomed in as much as she could. The moment Gong Seung-yeon’s name was called out, Jeongyeon cheered happily, saying, “Congratulations!”, “You’re so pretty”, “Don’t cry”.
In particular, in the middle of her acceptance speech, Gong Seung-yeon mentioned Jeongyeon, saying, “Honestly, I prepared an acceptance speech yesterday with a little anticipation of receiving this award, but my younger sister was next to me and she laughed at me. So I wondered, “I’ve thought too far”. If I knew this would happen, I should have prepared the speech properly.”
In response, Jeongyeon showed affection towards her sister, saying, “I didn’t laugh at my sisterㅠㅠㅜ I was actually looking forward to it! Congratulations, my cool sister. Let’s meet in more great works and become rich! I love you so much. I will hug you when we meet later.”
Meanwhile, Gong Seung-yeon recently appeared in movies “Aloners” and “Voice Over”. Her upcoming film “Handsome Guys” and Netflix’s original drama “Bulgasal: Immortal Souls” are also set to be released soon.
