Top singer Lim Young-woong praised for saving a driver’s life during a terrible car accident

Singer Lim Young-woong reportedly saved the life of an emergency patient at the scene of a traffic accident.

On January 23rd, StarNews reported that on January 21st, Lim Young-woong took emergency measures such as performing CPR for the first time on a driver who collapsed unconscious at a traffic accident near Banpo Bridge in Yeouido, Olympic-daero, Seoul.

According to officials, a van collided with a number of vehicles and hit a guardrail around 4 p.m. that day. In the midst of chaos caused by the accident, someone headed to the driver’s seat of the vehicle, and performed CPR on the unconscious driver.

Witnesses explained that Lim Young-woong was the one who gave first aid to the driver of the accident vehicle, and he took out the unconscious driver, laid him down, covered him with a blanket, and continued emergency measures. 

An official at Seocho Fire Station said in a telephone interview with StarNews on January 23rd, “Lim Young-woong was the first one to report the accident and helped,” adding, “When the paramedics arrived at the scene, witnesses said a man helped rescue the injured, and later confirmed it was Lim Young-woong.”
