Lee Se-young, who became a top actress with “The Red Sleeve,” has decided on her next work.
An official from the entertainment industry told Sports Chosun on February 3rd, “Lee Se-young will act as the main character of KBS 2TV’s new drama ‘Love According To The Law” (written by Lim Ji-eun, directed by Lee Eun-jin).” This drama is based on a novel of the same name written by Noh Seung-ah. It depicts a healing romantic story of a former prosecutor-turned-landlord once known as “Monster Genius” and Miss Korea contestant-turned-lawyer at the law office and cafe “Law Cafe.”
Lee Se-young plays Kim Yu-ri, a lawyer who used to be a Miss Korea contestant. She suddenly opens a “Law Cafe” after leaving a large law firm. The drama will depict what happens when she finds out that the owner of the building she met for the lease contract is her friend Jung-ho since high school.
The main character, Jung-ho, is currently in talks to be portrayed by Lee Seung-gi. Lee Se-young previously appeared in Lee Seung-gi‘s return work, SBS “Korean Odyssey,” after being discharged from the military. At that time, Lee Se-young acted as a zombie girl and was loved for her lovely character.
Lee Se-young, who has 25 years of acting experience, raised her status last year with “The Red Sleeve.” She showed chemistry with Lee Joon-ho, who played Lee San, by playing the main female character Sung Deok-im. The two were so good that they were said to have saved MBC’s drama legacy. Thanks to this, “The Red Sleeve” ended with a 17.4% viewer rating (Nilson Korea’s national standard), and is still loved by viewers even though it’s been a month since its last episode.
Fans are having high expectations for the actress’s next work. Lee Se-young, who showed all-time good acting, drew keen expectations for her drama choice after “The Red Sleeve.” In an interview earlier, Lee Se-young expressed her desire to “do romantic comedy,” drawing keen attention to whether she will succeed through “Love According To The Law.”
Director Lee Eun-jin, who has worked with Lee Se-young in “Lovers of Music,” will direct “Love According To The Law,” which will air in August.
