“Superstar” BLACKPINK Jisoo, “Performing at Coachella? I don’t feel nervous about things like that”

BLACKPINK member Jisoo showed her confident and positive side.

The first video of the Youtube content “Not Much Prepared Season 2” released on April 7th showed Lee Young Ji meeting BLACKPINK Jisoo. 

Jisoo, who was about to make her solo debut at the time she filmed “Not Much Prepared”, let Lee Young Ji and the program staff hear her solo song “Flower” and asked for their reactions. She said, “Our members envy me more as I go on this show than the beginning of my solo career”, then raised fans’ expectations by promising BLACKPINK’s appearance as a whole group.

Since BLACKPINK is known as a global girl group, Lee Young Ji asked Jisoo whether she had any concerns. Mentioning BLACKPINK being selected as the main headliner for the Coachella festival, Jisoo calmly said, “I don’t feel nervous about things like that”. In response, Lee Young Ji commented, “Then it means that you are a superstar”. However, when playing the Kitty pirate game with Lee Young Ji, Jisoo complained, “This is making me more nervous”, drawing laughter.

Jisoo continued, “Sometimes I get depressed, but I become okay after I wake up”, showing her positive side. She, who is an introvert, shared, “Sometimes people who live alone feel so lonely but I’m not like that. When I am alone, I get excited. I just think, ‘Today is my day’.”

Jisoo also talked about BLACKPINK’s popularity, saying “I don’t get stressed out about our popularity going down. We have to go down eventually as we had our moment. So if we go down, there will be someone who goes up. Then it will be better that it continues like this at the moment that Korean music industry is doing well around the world.”

In addition, she also mentioned rumors of BLACKPINK members’ discord, “We laugh when we see those things. We treat it as a joke”.
