“Soundtrack #1” director Kim Hee-won expressed her affection for Park Hyung-sik and Han So-hee.
Disney+’s original series “Soundtrack #1” (starring Park Hyung-sik and Han So-hee, written by Ahn Sae-bom, directed by Kim Hee-won, produced by Rednine Pictures and Xanadu Entertainment) is a music romance drama in which a man and a woman, who have been best friends for 20 years, get to know each other while staying in the same house for 2 weeks.

Director Kim Hee-won said, “I hope it will be a work where you can feel the ‘nostalgia’ of love that we’ve felt. As it added the title of music drama, I focused especially on music and sound. If you feel that the voices of the actors and OSTs go well together, I would be more than happy.”
Director Kim Hee-won also praised Park Hyung-sik and Han So-hee. Regarding the reason for the casting of the two actors, director Kim Hee-won revealed, “Is there a director who would reject these two lovely and bright actors? It’s an honor for me to work with the two actors who have always challenged and shown good results in their works. As it’s a work that has to melt various emotions of love in a short-form drama, viewers are desperate for trust and affection for actors. Park Hyung-sik and Han So-hee were cast without room for reconsideration in that respect.”
She continued, “As a director, I think intimacy is one of the most difficult emotions to deal with. Seon-woo and Eun-soo, who have been best friends for a long time, have to be expressed, but the two actors quickly completed their intimacy even though it was their first time working together. The filming period was very tight, but it was a really happy time thanks to the two actors who fully assimilated with the characters during that time.”
Director Kim Hee-won specifically praised the two actors, “Actor Park Hyung-sik completed the character’s relationship with his unique kindness and consideration, while actress Han So-hee completed the character’s relationship with consistent attentiveness and warmth. Thanks to this, I think it could become a work that fully incorporates the strengths of the actors’ original nature.”
