Actor Kim Seon-ho was embroiled in a ‘private life’ scandal related to his ex-girlfriend on October 17th. After that, KBS 2TV’s “2 Days 1 Night Season 4” officially announced Kim Seon-ho’s departure from the show on the 20th of the same month. The production said, “Due to the recent controversy, Kim Seon-ho decided to drop out of the show. We will try to edit the footage that was already filmed as much as possible in order to minimize the our viewers’ inconvenient experience”. Accordingly, the latest broadcast on November 7th showed only 5 members celebrating the 100th episode of “2 Days 1 Night Season 4” without Kim Seon-ho.

However, even after Kim Seon-ho’s departure was officially announced, Kim Seon-ho’s fans filed petitions against that decision through KBS Viewers’ Rights Center. As of November 8th, the number of people who signed the 4 petitions opposing Kim Seon-ho’s withdrawal from the show recorded 43.925, 1.024, 2.000, and 1.500, respectively. In fact, if more than 1.000 people agree on a petition within 30 days, the Head of this department at KBS must give a direct answer.

In response, KBS Entertainment Center’s Entertainment 1 CP – Lee Hwang-sun stated,

“First of all, thank you to the viewers who have loved ‘2 Days 1 Night’ and given us many valuable opinions. On October 20th, KBS announced Kim Seon-ho’s dropping out of the program. We want to inform you that we did go through a discussion process before issuing our official position. The production team was also disappointed that we couldn’t show you the image of the whole 6 members who had boasted great teamwork of being together for 2 years. However, we will continue our best to bring a good program to you.”

Earlier, an anonymous article titled “I want to disclose actor K’s true personality”, was released online. The post’s author claimed herself to be actor K’s ex-girlfriend and disclosed that K forced her to get an abortion under the pretense of marriage. Moreover, actor K was also revealed to have badmouthed his fellow actors and directors. After that, netizens immediately found out actor K was Kim Seon-ho. On November 20th, Kim Seon-ho admitted the allegations and delivered an apology through his company, Salt Entertainment.
