Song Ji Hyo opened up about the emotional struggles she faced during the controversy over her attitude on ‘Running Man.’
On September 2nd, Song Ji Hyo appeared on the YouTube channel DdeunDdeun and had a talk with hosts Yoo Jae Suk, Ji Suk Jin, and Haha.
Yoo Jae Suk said, “While watching the show, there were times when Ji Hyo remained unusually quiet,” and Song Ji Hyo confessed, “That’s right. So when there was controversy of me leaving Running Man, I was really grateful to Yoo Jae Suk and Ji Suk Jin.”
In response, Yoo Jae Suk recalled, “At that time, I called Song Ji Hyo and said, ‘Have you not seen the articles yet? If you haven’t, don’t look at them. Don’t search for them either,’ because she’s a sensitive person. At first, I thought she was pretending to be cheerful, but she hadn’t actually seen the articles.”
Song Ji Hyo also added, “At that time, Yoo Jae Suk told me, ‘Starting next week, focus on working hard, so don’t worry.’ In fact, I searched my name for a week, and it was more than what I had searched for in the past year. Those articles did motivate me. Since then, I’ve put in more effort.”
Yoo Jae Suk also shared another episode that happened later. He said, “One day, Song Ji Hyo sent me a text message saying, ‘Today, I’m going to try TikTok with Suk Jin oppa. Please watch it.’ I asked her why she was making an announcement when she could just do it, which made us laugh.”
