Song Hye Kyo’s former co-star to return to the small screen after two years, recent appearance change causes concerns 

Jang Ki Yong returns to the small screen with a questionable appearance. 

Jang Ki Yong became a buzz on social media after appearing in “Now, We’re Breaking Up” starring alongside Song Hye Kyo. While the script is poorly received, the couple’s chemistry, on the contrary, was adored by viewers. After the series ended, the two lead actors continued supporting each other, raising suspicion about their relationship. During Jang Ki Yong’s military service, Song Hye Kyo also paid a visit to his training camp.

Jang Ki Yong is slowly returning to the entertainment scene after fulfilling his military duty. Currently, he is modeling for various brands. More recently, the actor his comeback to the small screen with the fantasy drama “Though I’m Not a Hero.” 

Returning with “Though I’m Not a Hero,” Jang Ki Yong will collaborate with Chun Woo Hee. In the drama, the actor plays Heo Keok Joo, who was born into a family with superpowers but lost his ability due to modern diseases. Without his superpower, Keok Joo still performs a heroic act: saving a woman from a fire. The woman in question named Do Da Hae (Chun Woo Hee) who was born to restore his power. The series will start filming in August. 

On August 4, Jang Ki Yong also appeared at the Estee Lauder Lounge pop-up store event. This is the actor’s few public appearances after being discharged from the military. Nonetheless, his appearance at the event drew mixed reactions. Specifically, netizens targeted his weight and criticized his appearance, which can affect his performance in the upcoming drama. The actor has not made any further update about his preparation for the fantasy series.
