Top star couple Shin Min Ah and Kim Woo Bin made generous donations to the flood victims.
On July 16th, the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association announced, “Actress Shin Min Ah has donated 100 million won to support the victims affected by the flood.”
Shin Min Ah’s agency stated, “We decided to participate in the donation with a heartfelt desire to convey deep condolences to everyone who has suffered significant damage due to the recent heavy rain.”
Earlier on the same day, Kim Woo Bin, Shin Min Ah’s boyfriend, also donated 100 million won to assist the flood victims. Through Kim Woo Bin’s agency, it was revealed that he joined the donation to provide help to those who have suffered significant damage from the concentrated rainfall.
This is not the first time that Shin Min Ah and Kim Woo Bin have made generous donations. In 2022, Shin Min Ah donated 100 million won and 50 million won to the Hope Bridge for the neighbors affected by the East Coast wildfires and this year’s earthquake in Turkey, respectively.
Shin Min Ah’s total donation amount reportedly exceeded 300 million won, and she received the Presidential Commendation on the Day of Finance in 2019 for her contributions.
Kim Woo Bin has also consistently carried out philanthropic activities, including donating 100 million won to Hope Bridge for the East Coast wildfire victims in 2022.
In addition, singer Lee Chan Won and actress Lee Hye Young have also donated funds for the flood victims.
Regarding the donations from the top star couple, Hope Bridge stated, “We thank Kim Woo Bin and Shin Min Ah for participating in the donation to support the flood victims who are suffering from distress. Hope Bridge has been operating the Disaster Safety Situation Room since July 13th and will do our best to ensure that the flood victims can return to their daily lives as soon as possible.“
