Red Velvet fans send protest trucks to SM building, demanding fair treatment

Fans of girl group Red Velvet hired protest trucks to stand in front of SM Entertainment’s building to demand better treatment.

On July 5th, two protest trucks can be seen in front of the building of SM Entertainment, with LED screens facing the company gates. The trucks are a project plan by Red Velvet Bar, which is the girl group’s fanbase in China, managed by Chinese fans.

In particular, Red Velvet’s Chinese fans have been trending the hashtag “#BETTER_TREATMENT_FOR_REDVELVET” on the SNS platform Twitter. At the same time, they use the protest trucks to request SM Entertainment let Red Velvet make a comeback within the years and have active promotions, as well as release a new episode for “Level Up Project!”.

In addition, one truck reads, “SM! RV fans urgently demand! Recognize the overseas popularity of RV members! Actively plan overseas activities! Expansion of tour scale and increased overseas promotion!”

Meanwhile, another read, “Carefully plan the schedule and individual development of the members! Take care of the artist’s body and mind! Cheer on and support what the members want to do”. 

It is known that the truck will run from July 5th to 6th and will have different contents for each day.
