Ahn Yujin’s Basic Information
Ahn Yujin was born in North Chungcheong, South Korea. She attended School of Performing Arts Seoul (SOPA), but dropped out in 2019 to focus on idol activities. It was announced at the time that Ahn Yujin would be home-schooled instead.
Ahn Yujin’s Career
- Early career as a trainee:
Ahn Yujin became a trainee under Starship Entertainment since early on, and as a trainee, has appeared in various MVs such as Jeong Sewoon‘s “Just U“, Soyou & Baekhyun‘s “Rain”, Ailee & Mad Clown‘s “Thirst“, and Yoo Seungwoo & Sandeul “Oppa“.
At the time, Ahn Yujin was also active as a model, having appeared in several CFs, including a contact lens advertisement.
- Produce 48 & IZ*ONE:
In May 2018, Ahn Yujin was revealed as a contestant on the Mnet idol survival show “Produce 48”, representing Starship Entertainment. She eventually finished in 5th place for the show and became a member of the final project group IZ*ONE.
In October 2018, IZ*ONE debuted with the 1st mini album “Color*IZ” and the title track “La Vie en Rose”.
- IVE:
In November 2021, Ahn Yujin was announced as the 1st member of Starship’s girl group IVE. IVE eventually debuted in December of the same year with their 1st single album “Eleven”.

- Individual activities:
During her time with IZ*ONE, Ahn Yujin also worked as an MC for the music show “Inkigayo” starting from February 2021. She eventually stepped down from the role in March 2022.
In 2022, Ahn Yujin also released a collaboration single named “Move Like This” with Olympic Skater Kim Yuna and soloist Kang Daniel.
Ahn Yujin was also active as an advertising model for various brands in Korea, and became a brand ambassador for luxury fashion house Fendi in 2023.
At the same time, she has gained attention as a variety show personality with her appearance in the famous program “Earth Arcade”.

Ahn Yujin has an older sister born in 1999, and is able to speak Korean alongside basic Japanese and basic English. Her character for MINIVE is a puppy named GANGANJI.
She is known to be good at sports, and trained under Starship for 1 year and 4 months. When she was a child, Ahn Yujin wanted to become an elementary school teacher.
