Park Myung-soo Wants To See G-Dragon Collaborating With BTS’s Jin In The Year Of The Blue Dragon

The January 5th broadcast of KBS CoolFM’s “Park Myung-soo’s Radio Show” conducted the “Search N Chart” section with the participation of Jeon Min-ki.

The two talked about the keyword “dragon” to mark the Year of the Blue Dragon. Park Myung-soo said, “The Year of the Blue Dragon does not come very often”.

Jeon Min-ki explained, “The Year of the Blue Dragon is the ‘gapjin’ year, which means ‘gap’ combines with ‘jin’. It symbolizes strength, luck, and prosperity”.

The traditional Korean calendar follows a 60-year sexagenary cycle by combining a cycle of celestial stems (갑, 을, 병, 정, 무, 기, 경, 신, 임, 계) and earthly branches (자, 축, 인, 묘, 진, 사, 오, 미, 신, 유). Therefore, according to this calendar, the Year of the Blue Dragon 2024 is the combination ‘갑진’, which means “gapjin”.

Hearing Jeon Min-ki’s explanation, Park Myung-soo said, “Are you saying Yong (dragon) meets Jin? BTS’s Jin is going to be discharged from the military this year, I guess Jin should do something with G-Dragon (Kwon Ji-yong)”, adding, “I think it’ll work out. These friends have to do it. I recommend that idea”, drawing laughter.
