Oh Yoon-ah “I tried to hide Son Ye-jin & Hyun Bin’s relationship. I followed Lee Jung-hyun on her honeymoon” → Sandara Park “I want to cheer for Girls’ Generation”

Actress Oh Yoon-ah revealed an anecdote related to her close friends.

Oh Yoon-ah, Sandara Park, Yang Hae-woong, and Justin Harvey appeared as guests on the 785th episode of MBC’s entertainment program “Radio Star”, which aired on September 14th.

During the broadcast, Oh Yoon-ah drew attention and proved herself as a “Human TMI”, who constantly responded when other guests talked. The actress disclosed the story of when she failed to read the situation even among friends and that she joined the honeymoon of Lee Jung-hyun together with Lee Min-jung and Son Ye-jin.

Oh Yoon-ah said, “I was about to go to Japan when Lee Jung-hyun got married, so I asked if they wanted to go with me and she agreed. I suddenly carried a sense of duty and tried to make them enjoy the trip. It was really good. However, it turned out that I tactlessly followed them on their honeymoon”. When asked if she was with the couple every day throughout their honeymoon trip, Oh Yoon-ah explained, “Lee Jung-hyun and her husband stayed there one more day”.

Oh Yoon-ah said, “I think I was a little tactless”, reflecting on herself. She continued, “We have the course meal at the local accommodation. We ate our meals while wearing kimonos next to the newlyweds”. The actress said, “Come to think of it, I think I did something wrong”. When asked if there were many moments in daily life that made her feel regret because of her lack of sense, Oh Yoon-ah replied, “I’ve become a lot better”.

Oh Yoon-ah shared, “When a senior said, ‘Son Ye-jin and Hyun Bin are dating’, I replied ‘That’s not her (Son Ye-jin)’ because I was afraid that weird rumors would arise. But everybody knew that. I was the only one who kept doing so”, referring to the dating rumors of Son Ye-jin and Hyun Bin. She continued to draw laughter by telling another story of her tactlessness.

The actress has been raising her son Min, who has developmental disabilities, alone since her divorce in 2015. When asked if she had ever been hurt while raising her child alone, Oh Yoon-ah said, “I actually don’t like receiving counseling”.

She confessed, “I was doing my best but everyone said ‘The child became like this because the mother didn’t do this and that’, ‘The mother should do this’, etc., as if I had done some mistakes. At that time, people who are not counselors even tried to teach me. There were times when my son went out of control. People looked at me and I began to sweat. My son was not trying to harm anyone. It’s his expression method, but many people told us to ‘Go away’. Then the child was also surprised. I hope people cheer him on because he’s a baby who is like an angel. 

Meanwhile, Sandara Park, who recently made headlines by showing herself as a small eater, said that everyone in her family eats little. She said, “When my mom asked, ‘Do you want to eat dinner?’, I answered ‘No, I already ate lunch so I won’t eat anymore’. Whenever my brother Cheon-dung texts in our family chatroom, saying ‘Who wants to eat chicken?’, we only order chicken when all four members of our family agree. I can’t eat much when I’m alone.”

Sandara Park also surprised everyone when she said the biggest binge in her life was a bowl of ramen she had when she was in a good mood after living independently. Revealing that she couldn’t drink much alcohol after getting full from having hangover helpers, Sandara Park also said she divided a banana into small pieces to eat in every meal.

There was a time when rumors surrounded Sandara Park. She had reportedly been 38,39kg, but after meeting and eating with Kim Sook and Park Na-rae on “Video Star”, she gained weight and even reached 46kg.

Sandara Park said, “162cm is the height in my profile written on portal sites, but it’s not true”. Sandara Park corrected her height because she was afraid that young people might misunderstand that “you have to be 162cm and 38kg to get a nice body like that”. Once again, she emphasized, “Guys, I’m not even 160cm tall”. Kim Gu-ra said, “What a good message”, praising Sandara Park.

Sandara Park, who recently had her first reunion with 2NE1 members in 7 years on the Coachella stage, also expressed her feelings at the time the group disbanded. She said, “I felt like the sky was falling down”.

Revealing that there were signs showing the disbandment at that time, Sandara Park said, ‘I wondered, ‘We cannot see our fans anymore?’”. She continued, “My spent my life as a member of 2NE1 in less than 7 years, but I liked that. I always introduced myself as ‘I’m Dara, a vocalist of 2NE1’, but after then, I realized I couldn’t say anything about 2NE1. That’s when I felt like I had been through the darkest years in my life.”

However, Sandara Park, who has become brighter these days, said, “We can do it again”. The MCs also responded, “That’s also our dream”. Sandara Park continued, “Of course, it’s what everyone wants and I think there will be time for us to do it. When I saw Girls’ Generation make their comeback as a whole group, I thought, ‘K-pop’s second generation is still alive’. When we met each other in the past, we only greeted ‘Hello’, but now I want to say that I hope they can do a lot of promotions”, cheering for Girls’ Generation.
