Different Attitudes In Drug Scandals: Lee Sun-kyun Refuses To Make Statements & G-Dragon Denies Charges

Lee Sun-kyun refused to make statements regarding drug charges, while G-Dragon denied all drug allegations

On October 28th, Lee Sun-kyun appeared at the Incheon Metropolitan Police Station to attend the investigation by the Drug Crime Investigation Team. He returned home after being questioned for 1 hour and 10 minutes.

In the simple drug test conducted on the same day, Lee Sun-kyun received a negative result. Considering the low accuracy of the simple drug test, the police plan to send Lee Sun-kyun’s hair and urine to the National Forensic Service for a more thorough examination.

However, contrary to his promise to cooperate with the investigation faithfully when appearing at the police, Lee Sun-kyun reportedly refused to make any statements on the drug administration charges.

Standing in front of reporters before returning home, Lee Sun-kyun said, “I submitted my cell phone and responded to all the necessary requests for the next official investigation. I heard they will call me for another investigation, so I’ll answer sincerely at that time. I’m sorry”.

In the case of G-Dragon, although the male idol denied all the drug allegations, the police expressed their confidence in proving his charges, saying “We have evidence”.

According to Channel A on October 27th, the police explained why they booked G-Dragon on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Art, saying “We secured specific evidence”.

Earlier, G-Dragon released his position, insisting on his innocence. He said, “I didn’t take drugs. I have nothing to do with the recent media reports on the violation of the Narcotics Control Act. I know the issue has caused great concerns to many people so I will actively cooperate with the investigation and answer faithfully”. As such, the public is waiting for the investigation results to see whether G-Dragon can prove that he didn’t take drugs or whether it was just an excuse.
