Lee Sun-kyun attends police station “I’m sorry for disappointing many people due to shameful incident”

Actor Lee Sun-kyun (48), who is under suspicion of drug use, attended the police station and expressed his feelings

On the afternoon of Oct 28th, Lee Sun-kyun appeared at the Nonhyeon Police Station in Namdong-gu, Incheon to undergo questioning.

In front of reporters, Lee Sun-kyun lowered his head and said, “First of all, I’m very sorry for disappointing many people due to a shameful incident. Above all, I apologize to everyone who has believed in and supported me.”

He continued, “As stated through my agency, my stance on actively cooperating with the investigation agency remains unchanged. I’m sorry to my family who is enduring great pain at this very moment. Once again, I sincerely apologize to everyone.“

To reporters’ questions such as “Do you admit to the drug use allegations?“, “What kind of threats did you receive from the head of the adult entertainment establishment?“, “What aspects will you emphasize during the investigation?” and “What is your emotional state during the police investigation?“, Lee Sun-kyun replied, “I will cooperate sincerely with the investigation.”

The previous day, the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency’s Drug Crime Investigation Unit announced their plans to summon Lee Sun-kyun, who is suspected of violating the Narcotics Control Act. They also imposed a foreign travel ban through the Ministry of Justice.

The police plan to conduct a drug test on Lee Sun-kyun to investigate his drug use, including the type and frequency.

Meanwhile, Lee Sun-kyun is accused of taking marijuana and psychotropic drugs at the home of A (29), who is the head of an adult entertainment establishment in Gangnam, Seoul, from the beginning of this year to recently. A was arrested on Oct 21st on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act, and is also facing charges of extorting 350 million won from Lee Sun-kyun through threats.
