In an interview for online content, Lee Hyo Ri shared, “I want to use a popular dance crew, work with expensive composers, and spend a lot of money on music videos. But I felt very sorry to ask the company for them all”, adding “However, there is something the fans want to see and something I want to show them, right? In that case, I felt regretful. ‘Why did I say I would not do commercial advertisements?’, I asked myself. Now I want to earn a lot so that I can spend and donate more. I’ve been donating less than when I was still doing commercial advertisement.”
Revealing that she has been receiving numerous love calls after announcing her return to the advertising industry, Lee Hyo Ri confessed, “Fortunately, many advertisers reached out to me and I’m very thankful for that. I wonder why many people still find me even though I tend to do whatever I want. I think I’m very lucky. I really appreciate them.”
On a “Radio Star” broadcast, Lee Hyo Ri mentioned her income, saying “I lived off the money I earned from my activities during the three-year hiatus. But I still have a lot left”. She confessed, “When I was young and earning a lot, I didn’t have time to spend it. I can live until I die with the money I earned, but the question is how to live with that amount of money in the future.”
When the MC asked if Lee Hyo Ri did not do commercial advertisements because she did not want to, the female singer replied, “As I’ve been active for a long time, I got the feeling that the public has become my friends so I wanted to be honest to them. After becoming a vegetarian, I refused to advertise cosmetics products that involve milk or animal tests. Naturally, I no longer received advertising offers.”
Even during the time Lee Hyo Ri was absent from the advertising industry, she still made donations and spread good influence. It is known that Lee Hyo Ri donated about 250 million won in profits she earned from her appearance on MBC’s “Hangout with You” with Refund Sisters.
