Jeon Jong-seo: “Of course I thought I would play Tokyo… The most different character compared to the original work”

“Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area” Jeon Jong-seo explained the character Tokyo.

On the morning of June 22nd, the press conference of Netflix’s series “Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area” was held at COEX Grand Ballroom, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Actors Yoo Ji-tae, Kim Yun-jin, Park Hae-soo, Jeon Jong-seo, Lee Won-jong, Park Myung-hoon, Kim Sung-oh, Kim Ji-hoon (Denver), Jang Yoon-ju, Lee Joo-bin, Lee Hyun-woo, Kim Ji-hun (Helsinki), Lee Kyu-ho, director Kim Hong-sun and writer Ryu Yong-jae attended the event.

On this day, Jeon Jong-seo talked about her feelings after being cast, “I thought I would be in charge of Tokyo, of course. I think that the remade Tokyo is probably the most different character compared to the original work.

Jeon Jong-seo raised curiosity by adding, “It is the MZ generation, and many realistic aspects of people in their 20s are reflected. Tokyo is the purest and believes in the professor’s ideology so much that she pursues stability without being led astray. She looks at one target point and stays out of trouble.”

Meanwhile, Netflix’s series “Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area” depicts a hostage crisis situation set in the Korean Peninsula, involving a genius strategist and people with different personalities and abilities.

“Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area” was directed by director Kim Hong-sun of dramas “The Guest”, “Voice” and the movie “The Age of Blood” as well as written by writer Ryu Yong-jae of dramas “Monstrous”, “Psychopath Diary”, “Time Between Dog and Wolf” and Netflix’s series “My Holo Love”. Part 1 will be released on June 24th.
