Ladies’ Code Kwon Rise 9th death anniversary today (Sep 7th)

9 years have passed since the late Kwon Rise, a member of girl group Ladies’ Code, passed away.

On September 3rd, 2014, at around 1:30 AM, Ladies’ Code was involved in a serious car collision while returning to Seoul after attending the recording of KBS’ “Open Concert” in Daegu.

Kwon Rise was transferred to the intensive care unit immediately after the accident, but died on September 7th. She was 23 years old, a youthful age.

Member EunB died on the day of the accident.

According to the police at that time, the speed limit at the accident site was 100 km/h, but it had to be slowed down to less than 80 km/h due to rain (according to the Road Traffic Act).

However, it was estimated that the manager drove at a speed exceeding 55.7 km/h. There were no mechanical defects in the vehicle.

After the accident, Lee Sojung said through a broadcast, “An accident happened to my members. We were on our way home from work under heavy rain after finishing our schedule. The manager drove too fast and caused an accident. Two members passed away.

Meanwhile, Ladies’ Code debuted in March 2013 and released hit songs such as “Bad Girl”, “Pretty Pretty” and “So Wonderful”.

Before her debut, Kwon Rise participated in Miss Korea 2009 and was crowned as “Miss Korea Japan Jin”. She made her face known the following year by appearing on MBC’s audition program “The Great Birth”.
