After “Revenant” ended recently on July 29th, Kim Tae Ri shared her thoughts on the drama and expressed her gratitude to viewers and fans in an interview.

The actress confessed, “Time flies and the drama has come to an end. First of all, I want to thank the production team, the actors and the staff for their great efforts and hard work. And I’m also grateful for viewers’ love for the drama”, adding “I’m really happy to know that the audience immersed themselves in the characters and watched it the way I told them in the interview before the drama broadcast”.

Expressing two different characters, Goo San Young and Goo San Young when being possessed by the devil, Kim Tae Ri shared, “I tried to stick to the lines and the situation as much as possible because I didn’t want to miss even the smallest clues. I discussed a lot with the director and writer to find a way to highlight the differences between the two characters”, adding “The more I acted, the better I understood my characters”.

When asked about the scariest scene to her in “Revenant”, the actress said, “I think episode 4 was very scary. I knew all the details in the script, I acted them and could expect what the next scene was but I still couldn’t stand when something popped out suddenly and got goosebumps. The scene in which the shadow transforms into the devil in episode 7 was also horrifying.”

Regarding the viewers’ speculations, Kim Tae Ri said, “I remember someone pointed out the scene where Hyangyi and San Young holding hands and said the devil was not Mok Dan. I screenshotted it and sent it to the director. The writer even thought someone in the production team might have leaked it…”

Kim Tae Ri also mentioned her chemistry with Oh Jung Se (as Yeom Hae Sang) and Hong Kyung (as Lee Hong Sae). She said, “I learned many things from the differences in our acting methods. I received so much help from them and I’m thankful to have the chance to work with them two”, adding “I received strength from all the actors who worked with me. The filming process was very fun and enjoyable”.

When asked about San Young’s feelings in the last scene, Kim Tae Ri said, “Both San Young and Hyangyi want to live. However, However, San Young couldn’t face her own life and had to live with too many burdens, while Haengyi wanted to live blindly and passionately. Through their long fight, San Young decided to live a life for herself, the life she chooses. I could imagine Sna Young smiling after the blacked-out scene. I can only hope each viewer can find the most convincing answer to how they feel”, adding “I hope San Young is happy in the end”.

Lastly, she sent a message to the viewers, saying “Thank you very much. Regardless of age, I think everyone has their own version of youth. I hope everyone is happy”.
