Colleagues left heartfelt final farewells to Lee Sun-kyun “From Jung Woo-sung, Kim Eui-sung to Son Seok-gu”

Renowned actor Kim Eui-sung expressed his profound sorrow in bidding farewell to his junior Lee Sun-kyun. On Dec 29th, Kim Eui-sung posted a tribute to Lee Sun-kyun through his Instagram.

Kim Eui-sung said, “My heart is filled with a mix of anger, despair, regret and apology as if it’s about to burst.” He expressed despair over the fact that he can no longer see Lee Sun-kyun, hear his voice or drink with him. He added, “After some time passes and my head cools down, I’ll think step by step about what I, we, can do. Rest comfortably in a place without humiliation and pain.”

Kim Eui-sung and Lee Sun-kyun were known for their close relationship in the film industry, having co-starred in the 2013 film “Nobody’s Daughter Haewon”. Kim Eui-sung appeared to have participated in Lee Sun-kyun’s funeral procession and attended the burial service at Samsung Elysium, Gwangju.

Actor Jung Woo-sung also bid his final farewell to Lee Sun-kyun through his Instagram.

Jung Woo-sung posted a photo of Lee Sun-kyun with the caption, “Sun-kyun, did you reach comfort? I hope you reached comfort.

He quoted some of Lee Sun-kyun’s lines from tvN’s drama “My Mister” to express condolences, adding to the sadness. Jung Woo-sung also attended Lee Sun-kyun’s funeral procession.

Actor Son Seok-gu also shared a tribute through his Instagram with a photo of Lee Sun-kyun.

Son Seok-gu confessed, “It was a brief conversation of just a few hours, but it was an honor, enjoyable and warm. I pray that you reached comfort. Thank you, senior. Be happy.”
