Netflix unveils new drama and film lineup, perfect for the weekend

A new lineup, consisting of various trendy and hip movies and series, have been unveiled by OTT platform Netflix.

“Celebrity”, which will premiere on June 30th, is a Netflix series that delves into the world of influencers, which everyone is curious about but not easily understood. Here, female lead Seo Ah Ri, who accidentally steps into a world where followers and likes hold power, realizes the laws to achieve success and overnight becomes a famous celebrity with 1.3 million followers.

However, amidst the joy and glamor, she gradually falls and encounters a shocking death in a place that appears flashy on the surface but is internally chaotic. Then, when Seo Ah Ri, who was thought to be dead, starts a live broadcast, people with reasons to prevent her from being alive begin to tremble in fear.

The female lead of “Doom at Your Service”, Dong Kyung, lost her parents in a car accident at the age of ten. On top of that, due to her boyfriend being a cheating liar, rumors spread that Dong Kyung is a home-wrecker, causing her to resign from her job.

On the same day, Dong Kyung discovers that she’s dying within 100 days due to an incurable disease, and so drunkenly wishes for the world to be doomed

As a result, Myul Mang, a being who brings destruction just by existing, visits Dong Kyung’s house to grant her wish, introducing himself as “Doom” and holding hands with Dong Kyung. 

The two end up signing a 100-day contract, bringing forth various interesting events. 

“Run Rabbit Run”

A rabbit appears in front of Mia, who is celebrating her 7th birthday. Mia is happy, thinking that it’s a mysterious birthday present, but her mother, Sarah, feels uneasy. In particular, Sarah couldn’t help but recall her sister Alice, who went missing when she was Mia’s age.

Afterward, Mia starts behaving strangely, claiming to be Alice and asking to meet a grandmother she has never seen before. Watching Mia, Sarah is reminded of painful memories and struggles to hold onto her daughter, who seems to be further and further away. 

On the other hand, “Run Rabbit Run” is directed by Daina Reid, who was nominated for Best Director at the Primetime Emmy Awards for “The Handmaid’s Tale” and stars Sarah Snook, who received the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the drama “Succession.”
