Kim Sae Ron worked part-time at a pub in Gangnam? Witness praised the actress as “very skillful and friendly”

Kim Sae Ron, who is on trial for causing a drunk driving accident, was said to have worked part-time at a pub in Gangnam until last month.

According to The Fact on March 21st, there was a report that actress Kim Sae Ron was working part-time at a pub in Gangnam-gu, Seoul until last month.

The pub is known to be run by an acquaintance of Kim Sae Ron. The witness evaluated Kim Sae Ron as a person who is “very diligent, skillful, and very friendly to customers.”

However, it has not been confirmed how long Kim Sae Ron had worked at this pub.

Kim Sae Ron attended her first trial held at the Seoul Central District Court on the 8th of last month and confessed that she was facing financial difficulties. Kim Sae Ron’s lawyer appealed for leniency, saying, “After the accident, Kim Sae Ron has been supporting her family as the eldest daughter. Her family has also been suffering from financial difficulties.”

On March 11th, Kim Sae Ron posted several photos on her SNS account showing herself working part-time at a cafe. However, the cafe franchise refuted this, saying “Kim Sae Ron had never worked for their brand”, leading to a controversy over her ‘fake part-time job’.

In May last year, Kim Sae Ron crashed into a transformer and street trees around three times while driving under the influence of alcohol near Gangnam-gu, Seoul. The accident resulted in a power outage in Sinsa-dong and Apgujeong-dong for about four and a half hours, causing huge damage to local businesses. At the time of the accident, Kim Sae Ron refused to take an alcohol test and insisted on a blood test instead. The results showed her blood alcohol level was about 0.2%, a level enough for license revocation.

The prosecutor demanded a fine of 20 million won in the first trial of Kim Sae Ron.
