Kim Junsu Appears in Public TV broadcast after 15 Years after Being Banned by SM

Former TVXQ member Kim Junsu has overcome SM’s “shadow ban” by appearing on a public TV program after 15 years.

On April 10, the KBS2 program “The Return of Superman” released a teaser video through its official account, featuring the appearance of rapper BewhY and his daughter.

In the released video, singer-actor and former TVXQ member Kim Junsu, who sports red hair, was also featured meeting BewhY and his daughter, Siha.

Despite being touched by BewhY’s daughter’s aegyo, Kim Junsu still sweated over his first child-rearing challenge, saying, “I don’t know what to do because I’m too young.” As a result, audiences are drawing attention to what will happen to Kim Jun-su’s attempt to take care of Si-ha alone instead of BewhY.

Kim Junsu’s appearance on “The Return of Superman” is known to have been arranged through his recent friendship with BewhY, who recently joined the show. Despite his busy schedule with musicals and concert preparations, Kim Junsu has proven his close friendship by supporting BewhY.

Additionally, the appearance of Kim Junsu is drawing attention for being his 1st appearance on public TV broadcast after 15 years. Although he has appeared on cable channels such as TV Chosun and MBN entertainment since 2009, it has been a long time since he appeared on entertainment shows by major broadcasters like KBS.

It is also known that Kim Junsu’s lack of appearance is due to receiving a “shadow ban” from SM Entertainment after he sued the agency and departed from TVXQ.

Meanwhile, Kim Junsu continues to actively meet fans through musicals, concerts, and more.
