Kangnam, who failed to diet and lose weight, eventually donated 10 million won to charity and fulfilled his promise.
On January 2nd, a video titled “A story about a diet failure and donation… Kang Nam’s new year’s good deed” was published on the YouTube channel “Neighborhood friend Kang Nam” (literal translation).
In the released video, Kangnam volunteered at a shelter for abandoned dogs. On the same day, the singer also donated 10 million won for the protection of abandoned dogs in the name of himself and his subscribers.
Previously in July, Kangnam went on a diet and declared that if he cannot lose 9kg, he will donate 10 million won.
“I’ve gained more weight now,” the singer said, adding, “As promised, I am going to make a donation today.”
Then, upon finishing his volunteer work, Kangnam said, “If many people are interested, I think these abandoned dogs will go to good families. Thanks to all of you, I made a donation. I hope the puppies are happy too.”
