Shin Hyun Joon, “I slapped Kim Tae Hee really hard when she was a rookie…  I’m still sorry” What happened?

Actor Shin Hyun Joon recalled his relationship with Kim Tae Hee.

On February 20th, Shin Hyun Joon had an interview ahead of the release of the movie “The Assassin” in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul.

During the interview, Shin Hyun Joon mentioned SBS’s drama “Stairway to Heaven”, which aired in 2003. The drama is still a hot topic to this day thanks to the acting skills of the cast and famous scenes.

Shin Hyun Joon confessed, “The most memorable scene in ‘Stairway to Heaven’ to me is the scene where I slapped Kim Tae Hee on the face. Kim Tae Hee was a rookie at the time. I’m still so sorry because there were many scenes where I hit her.” 

He continued, “The director said that this scene would be realistic if I slapped her really hard. So I slapped her hard. It must have been difficult for a rookie who just debuted, but Kim Tae Hee did well.” 

Regarding the famous scenes of “Stairway to Heaven” going viral recently, Shin Hyun Joon said, “‘Stairway to Heaven’ was so popular that the viewership rating exceeded 40% when it was aired. These days, young viewers are even more immersed than those who have watched the drama before. I feel grateful.”
