More similarities between IVE’s videos and Red Velvet’s music videos have been pointed out
A post titled, “A company that likes to copy Red Velvet”, drew keen attention on Instiz.
The netizen who made the post compiled images captured from Red Velvet’s music videos and various content of Starship’s girl group IVE, accusing IVE of plagiarising ideas from Red Velvet’ MVs many times.
They pointed out various similarities, from the teaser photos of Yeri and Jang Won-young to the directing and camera angles in the two group’s videos. Even the new teaser for IVE’s upcoming comeback song “Baddie” is also said to copy Red Velvet’s “Birthday”.
In response, other netizens commented:
– The compositions of the music videos look the same
– I’m not a fan of both groups but I don’t think it’s a coincidence because so many details are overlapped
– The Melon Music Awards VCR really looks the same ㅋㅋㅋㅋ I don’t know if other videos also copy Red Velvet
– I’m not a Red Velvet or IVE fan, but to be honest, they look similar… It can be ignored if they overlapped once but it happened so many times…
– As soon as I saw “Baddie” teaser, I thought of Red Velvet’s “Birthday”.
