Model-actress Jung Ho Yeon was chosen as the first “Lancôme Global Ambassador” in Asia.
On February 17th (KST), global beauty brand Lancôme announced Jung Ho Yeon as their global ambassador, saying “Jung Ho Yeon, a special model who pioneers her own path and an actress recognized with at various award ceremonies, is a true inspiration herself. We welcome the irreplaceable model/actress Jung Ho Yeon as a global ambassador”.
Jung Ho Yeon is expected to carry out activities as Lancôme global ambassador together with Lupita Nyong’o, Lily Collins, Amanda Seyfried, Aya Nakamura, Isabella Rossellini, Zendaya, Julia Roberts, and Penelope Cruz. In particular, the fact that Jung Ho Yeon was selected as a global ambassador is even more meaningful because she is the first Asian to achieve this.
In this regard, Jung Ho Yeon expressed her feelings, saying “It’s such a great honor for me to be able to work with great actors that I have admired since a long time ago. I always think Lancôme is a brand that works with women who are beautiful from the outside to the inside”, adding “It will be an opportunity for me to promote the value and beauty of Asian women around the world. I think I will be able to share and communicate and share about not only women but also the beauty of mankind in various shapes and forms.”
Jung Ho Yeon appeared on OnStyle’s survival program “Korea’s Next Top Model, Cycle 4”, and gained attention for becoming the joint-runner up. In 2021, she started her acting career with the Netflix original series “Squid Game”.
After gaining global popularity with “Squid Game”, Jung Ho Yeon has confirmed appearance in Apple TV+’s new thriller series “Disclaimer” (directed by Alfonso Cuarón), as well as in the film “The Governesses” (directed by Hollywood award-winning filmmaker Joe Talbot).
Currently, Jung Ho Yeon is in a public relationship with actor Lee Dong Hwi, who is 9 years her senior. Attention is being focused on what kind of performance the model-actress will show this year, and whether she will continue to strike big in both career and love.
