Lee Ji-eun shared, “Thank you for inviting me to such an honorable place and giving me the Best New Actress award, which can be received only once in the life of an actor”. She continued, “I really wanted to see everyone in person, so I already prepared a beautiful outfit and adjusted my overseas schedule from three weeks ago”, adding “I feel so sorry that I’m inevitably unable to attend the awards ceremony because I’ve been classified as a ‘close contact’ of Covid-19 patients. It was such a precious opportunity to be invited, so I’m very sorry for being absent”.

The actress said, “I think I already shot the best feature film of my life. Expressing her affection for “Broker”, her first feature film, Lee Ji-eun said, “From the beginning until the end, ‘Broker’ has given me so many gifts that I don’t think I deserve”, adding “I’m so honored to receive my first award as a movie actress together with great seniors. I couldn’t greet you all in person this time, but I promise that I will work hard to become a better actress in the future.”

Meanwhile, Chunsa Film Art Awards was held non-face-to-face in the aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic last year. However, this year’s awards ceremony was held with audiences as social distancing has already been lifted.

Chunsa Film Art Awards is an award ceremony that has been held since the 1990s in order to honor Na Woon-gyu, a pioneer in the Korean film industry. Winners are selected based on various standards, including creativity and artistic value, through screenings.
