Singer-actress IU has once again continued her meaningful philanthropic efforts in celebration of her birthday.
IU’s agency, EDAM Entertainment, announced the news of her donation through their official social media account on May 16th.
The agency shared the donation certificate, which was made under IU’s fandom name, and expressed gratitude.
The revealed donation certificate contained a total of 250 million won, with 100 million won donated to the Heart Heart Foundation under IU’s fandom name Uaena, and 50 million won each to the Happy Sharing Foundation, Korea Unwed Mothers and Families Association, and Korea Vulnerable Elderly Support Foundation’s Solitary Elderly Comprehensive Support Center.
EDAM Entertainment stated, “What I’ve learned from Uaena, what I’ve felt through Uaena, and what I’ve received from Uaena will always be the ingredients for IU’s actions. Thank you very much once again,” expressing their gratitude to the fans.
Earlier, IU consistently engaged in philanthropic activities, such as donating 100 million won to the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation on Korea’s Children’s Day, which was on May 5th.
