Kang Dong Won replies “It won’t be easy” when his nephew says “I’ll be more famous than you”

Kang Dong Won jokingly replied “It won’t be easy” when his nephew – FC Seoul’s youth player Choi Joon Young – said “I’ll be more famous than you”

On September 13th, Kang Dong Won appeared as a guest on the 211th episode of tvN’s variety show “You Quiz on the Block“. Kang Dong Won shared his experience of filming the movie “Maundy Thursday” and expressed regret, “The nightmare began. I dreamed of being taken to the execution ground every day and woke up crying. I regretted that I should have done this, done that when acting.”

He continued, “It felt like another path opened up in my emotions. When a path of unknown emotions is opened, you can’t close it yourself, and the emotions keep going down that path. Looking back now, I think I should have received psychiatric counseling.”

Yoo Jae Suk mentioned a phenomenon where Kang Dong Won became the subject of optical illusions in 3 different scenes, to which Kang Dong Won smilingly responded, “It was a question from a reporter, but when I asked the director after the interview, he said, ‘Am I crazy?’“

Yoo Jae Suk also brought up a misconception related to Kang Dong Won in the movie “The Priests”, where a halo was mistakenly thought to appear behind him and a bell was mistakenly thought to be heard. Kang Dong Won clarified, “There was actually no halo or bell. Also, people asked if only I was wearing different clothes in the movie ‘A Violent Prosecutor’, but in reality, we were all wearing the same clothes.“

When asked about his family’s reaction to these misconceptions, Kang Dong Won explained, “They all really liked it. I have an older sister who is 2 years older than me, and we get along very well.” It was revealed that FC Seoul’s youth player Choi Joon Young is Kang Dong Won’s nephew. When Choi Joon Young expressed his desire to become more famous than Kang Dong Won, Kang Dong Won jokingly replied, “It won’t be easy.”
