iKON’s Bobby suddenly announced that he would get married and become a father in September

On August 20th, iKON’s Bobby uploaded a long handwritten letter via his Instagram. 

Accordingly, the male idol will get married in the near future and at the same time will become a father. The baby’s due date has been set for September. The identity of his bride-to-be has not been revealed.

The news that he is set to marry astonished his fans as Bobby had never been involved in any dating rumors before. However, his fans also insist that they will always support him.

Below is the full text of Bobby’s letter.

​”Hello, this is iKON’s Bobby. I have thought a lot and decided to write this letter to tell you this news.I promised to marry the person I love.

Moreover, I will become a father this September.I’m happy because I now have a new family. However, I want to apologize to my fans who might feel embarrassed because of my sudden news.

I should have told you about this earlier, but I’m sorry for the delay because I was worried.To the people who have always supported and loved a person with many faults like me, from the bottom of my heart, I feel that I have to take responsibility for putting so much pressure on you all.

To those who are confused and hurt by my story, I sincerely apologize to you.To iKON members, fans, and parents who have supported an insufficient person like me, I will become a man that would not let you down.

More than anything, I would like to thank my fans and the members who have been waiting for iKON’s activities.I will try harder and do my best in the future.”

Meanwhile, Bobby (real name: Kim Ji-won) is a South Korean rapper, singer-songwriter, and member of iKON under YG Entertainment. In 2016, he formed a sub-unit with Mino under the name MOBB. He is best known for finishing in first place on Mnet’s survival show: Show Me The Money 3.

So far, YG has not commented on this information. It is not clear if the male idol will continue to work as an iKON member after getting married.
