Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon interacted with fans through an in-person concert after three years.
On June 4th, Taeyeon‘s fifth solo concert, ‘TAEYEON CONCERT – The ODD Of LOVE,’ was held at KSPO DOME in Seoul.
Taeyeon started the concert with ‘INVU’ and then sang ‘Can’t Control Myself,’ ‘That Night (Some Nights),’ ‘Set Myself On Fire,’ ‘Siren,’ and ‘Cold As Hell,’ before greeting the fans.
Having organized an offline solo concert after three years, Taeyeon said, “It’s been such a long time. Thank you for waiting for three years. I missed you all. Since it has been a long time since I did a concert, my mind was a bit confused about what to say first. Last year, I filled the venue at Girls’ Generation’s fan meeting, and today, I filled it alone. It’s all thanks to all of you,” expressing gratitude.
Continuing as the shouts from the audience continued, Taeyeon said, “I can’t imagine how much I have to say after three years. I hear all your screams from everywhere.”
She jokingly said, “I thought I would make a cool entrance and say ‘let’s rock,’ but I choked on water while drinking. Even after 16 years, I can’t do anything gracefully. Isn’t this the taste of doing it with a band and performing live?“
Taeyeon also addressed the fan who shouted, “You’re sexy,” saying, “Sexy again?” and asked, “Yesterday, you kept screaming ‘sexy, sexy.’ I wonder what makes me (look) sexy?” She added, “It must be your preference. The concert has started, and you have come to see me perform after a long time, so are you ready to enjoy it till the end? I’m also really happy to see you after such a long time. I’ll sing songs just for all of you with this heart.“
