How senior artists from SM Entertainment describes aespa

Other SM artists never fail to take care of aespa and shower them with kind words

Kpop fans are always interested in the relationships between junior and senior artists from the same company. As the latest group under SM Entertainment, aespa members are considered cute juniors by other SM artists, specifically SNSD, Red Velvet Wendy, and Super Junior

How SM artist describes aespa

Recently, SNSD showered aespa with praise in a recent interview. In particular, the group leader, Taeyeon said: “I am really fond of aespa, and have been watching their activities closely. In addition, as rookies, they have this wonderful youthfulness and energy level that reminds me of SNSD early in our debut. They look gorgeous with bare faces and little make up too, and their long straight hair really brings me back to the old days.”

Meanwhile, Sunny also gave her comment regarding aespa, saying: “Whenever I see younger girl groups, I always feel proud and ask myself if I can do anything to help them. I don’t want to be nosy, so I normally don’t approach them first. However, I hope they understand that I’m always watching them from afar, and that I’m always available to assist them and answer their questions.

On the other hand, Tiffany shared that she has learned a lot from her juniors. “I also pay a lot of attention to aespa. I often watch and learn a lot from their releases, both in terms of visuals and music”, she said.

Previously, Karina and Winter had the chance to collaborate with Taeyeon and Hyoyeon in the project group GOT The Beat, and received a lot of praise from them. In addition, when aespa was invited to perform and promote overseas, Taeyeon and Hyoyeon expressed their surprise and showered the group in congratulations.

Additionally, Red Velvet Wendy once said on a livestream that she has watched every MV and music show performance of aespa.

In particular, Wendy explained that since Red Velvet and aespa’s trainee period never overlapped, she felt “surreal” to see them for the first time. “They are like babies”, the female idol said, adding that she felt as if meeting another artist, and that she told aespa she’s cheering them on.

“Their music and choreography is good. But the vibe is very different compared to us”, Wendy concluded.

Finally, Donghae and Eunhyuk of Super Junior drew laughter for demanding SM to create their own virtual versions like aespa. They also admitted to knowing nothing about SM’s “Kwangya”.
