The cast of Kang Soo Yeon’s posthumous work “JUNG_E” paid tribute to the late actress in tears

Actors Kim Hyun Joo and Ryu Kyung Soo shed tears as they recalled their memories of the late actress Kang Soo Yeon.

On Jan 12th, a production presentation for the late Kang Soo Yeon’s posthumous work “JUNG_E” was held at tLotte Cinema Konkuk University in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul. Actors Kim Hyun Joo, Ryu Kyung Soo and director Yeon Sang Ho attended the event.

The movie “JUNG_E” tells the story of the best battle A.I., which was created by cloning the brain of legendary mercenary Jung E to end the war in Shelter, where human has evacuated to after leaving Earth due to climate change. “JUNG_E” is drawing attention as the last movie of the late actress Kang Soo Yeon.

The late Kang Soo Yeon was originally expected to make a movie comeback through “JUNG_E,” but suddenly passed away due to an illness. She plays Seo Hyun, the daughter of Jung E and the person in charge of the Jung E Project.

Kim Hyun Joo and Ryu Kyung Soo shed tears as they recalled the time when they worked together with Kang Soo Yeon.

Kim Hyun Joo said emotionally, “I still remember the first day I met Kang Soo Yeon. She was very affectionate and was like a colleague to me, not a senior. She was more serious and passionate about this job than anyone else. She took care of us a lot behind the camera.”

Ryu Kyung Soo said, “I met Kang Soo Yeon more than 90% of my filming time. The character Sang Hoon greatly admires his director in charge. While acting together, I respect her greatly. Like Sang Hoon, I became a fan of her too. I want to become an adult like her, and my heart remains unchanged even now. I want to take this opportunity to thank the director for allowing me to act in ‘JUNG_E’.”

The Netflix movie “JUNG_E” will be released on Jan 20th.
