K-netizens react to SM repeating design for artists’ debut anniversary celebration pictures

Fans pointed out similarities in the designs of Red Velvet and Girls’ Generation’s debut-anniversary pictures.

A netizen compared the two pictures uploaded by SM Entertainment in celebration of Red Velvet’s 9th debut anniversary on August 1st and Girls’ Generation’s 16th debut anniversary on August 5th. 

They said, “The drawings are not even related to the members”

In response, other netizens commented:

– Whether SM is in BIG 3, or BIG 4, it feels like something already in the past. Now even medium-sized companies are doing better than SM

– Starting with the release of SM photocards, this is so serious

– When the controversy broke out, I was so shocked to see their company lights on at around 2 a.m. They seem to be making their employees work overtime a lot. There are many popular groups under big agencies, but there seem to be not enough staff… Many people have also left HYBE… Big agencies are so chaotic

– They just changed the official color for the background. At this rate, they will repeat everything from Girls’ Generation with aespaㅋㅋㅋㅋ
