Handsome Man Couldn’t Become An Actor Because His Photo Was Used To Scam Over 1,000 Victims

A victim of a big fraud appeared on the latest episode of KBS Joy Entertainment’s program “Ask Us Anything Fortune Teller,” which aired on December 25th.

In this episode, the storyteller was Park Beom-jun, 23 years old. When he appeared, hosts Seo Jang-hoon and Lee Soo-geun were surprised by his appearance, saying, “He looks like an actor. He is very handsome.”

The storyteller then talked about his concerns. He said his photo was stolen and used in a stock reading room, which is a fraud method in which frauds create a group chat room on social media and scam people to invest in “high-yielding stocks.” The victims of this scam are usually senior citizens.

Park Beom-jun said, “They stole my face and used a fake name of Director Kim Woo-jin for nearly a year,” and in fact, his stolen photos were also shown on the “news” about this scam. Park added, “I feel guilty for the crime as the weak elderly are the main target even if it is not my fault.”

He shared, “I want to become a model and actor, but I’m worried that my dream will be destroyed because I have a bad image,” adding, “I’m not even involved in the crime. It’s unfair.”

Regarding whether the victims try to find him, Park said, “I didn’t hear from them. It’s because I have nothing to do with it. I’m afraid they’ll come to my door and blame me.”
