After completing Girls’ Generation promotion, the girls continued to draw keen attention as hosts of big award ceremonies in Korea.
Members of Girls’ Generation, the group that recently completed the promotion of their 15th-anniversary album, are actively appearing on TV broadcasts as MCs. Im Yoon-ah, Kwon Yu-ri, Seohyun and Choi Soo-young took charge of hosting prestigious award ceremonies and once again proved their reputation as a top girl group.
The first person to perform as an MC was Im Yoon-ah. She showed up at the 1st Blue Dragon Series Awards, which was held at Incheon Paradise Hotel in July, and led a successful event.
On that day, Im Yoon-ah appeared beautifully in an elegant dress and communicated pleasantly with the guests and viewers. As a result, she received high evaluations for her stable hosting skills. Especially, many people commented that she made the first start of Korea’s first award ceremony for streaming service content more special.
Taking over Yoon-ah’s baton, Kwon Yu-ri also impressed everyone with her MC performance. Kwon Yu-ri was an MC for APAN Star Awards, a Korean popular arts festival that was held at KINTEX in Ilsan, Gyeonggi-do last month.
In particular, she showed off her amazing chemistry with actor Jung Il-woo, whom she worked with in two dramas in a row – “Bossam: Steal the Fate” (2021) and “Good Job” (2022), and provided the viewers with more fun while watching the awards ceremony.
Choi Soo-young and Seohyun colored the first weekend of October with their appearances as “award ceremony goddesses”. Choi Soo-young hosted the 2022 Buil Film Festival held at the Grand Ballroom of Signiel Busan Hotel on October 6th and honored the achievements of Korean films over the past years.
Meanwhile, Seohyun was the MC for the 2022 THE FACT Music Awards held at KSPO Dome in Songpa-gu, Seoul on October 8th. Thanks to her outstanding hosting skills, she confidently led the award event to success for the 5th consecutive year.
Through the performances of Girls’ Generation members as MCs, people can realize their star quality as well as their extraordinary sense and witty talks.
