Actor Ahn Hyo Seop is currently under discussion to play the role of Kim Dok Ja in the movie “Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint”.
On May 3rd, an official from Ahn Hyo Seop‘s agency said, “Recently, we received an offer to appear in the movie ‘Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint’, and we are currently considering it.”
The movie “Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint” is based on a popular web novel of the same name. It depicts a world where the protagonist Kim Dok Ja is the only one who knows the end of a destroyed world, and the story follows his struggles for survival.
If Ahn Hyo Seop confirms his appearance as Kim Dok Ja, “Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint” will be his big screen debut.
Meanwhile, actor Lee Min Ho is being considered to star alongside Ahn Hyo Seop. In particular, Lee Min Ho has received an offer for the role of Yoo Jung Hyuk, another protagonist.
The original web novel, which began serialization on Munpia in 2018, has accumulated over 200 million views, making it a mega-hit. It is considered a highly anticipated IP among both netizens and experts, and it has yet to be adapted into a film, generating great expectations among the original readers.
The movie “Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint” is being produced by Realies Pictures, the company behind the creation of the legendary movie “Along with the Gods”. The film will be directed by Kim Byung-woo, who directed “The Terror Live”.
