G-Dragon’s remarks before enlistment re-examined “I feel lost in the blurred line between dream & reality”

While BIGBANG’s G-Dragon faces allegations of drug use, his past statements are being re-examined

In 2018, YG Entertainment released a teaser video for G-Dragon’s human documentary through BIGBANG’s YouTube channel.

The teaser video, which began with the question “Who am I?“, showcased G-Dragon’s glamorous on-stage presence but also revealed the human side of Kwon Ji-yong (G-Dragon’s real name), who continuously contemplated himself.

In the video, G-Dragon confessed, “I love that feeling of living my dream… Occasionally though, I feel lost in the blurred line between dream & reality.“

This statement, which was not particularly significant at that time, is receiving attention again after G-Dragon was booked due to alleged drug use.

The Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency’s drug crime investigation unit announced on Oct 25th that they booked G-Dragon and are investigating him on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act.

Fans were even more shocked as G-Dragon was previously investigated back in 2011 for illegally smoking marijuana.

G-Dragon, who had remained silent after the drug controversy, released an official statement through his lawyer on Oct 27th.

He stated, “First of all, I didn’t take drugs. I have nothing to do with reports on ‘violation of the Narcotics Control Act’ released by the media recently.”

He added, “However, this issue has caused concerns to many people, so I will actively cooperate with the investigation by the investigative agency and answer faithfully.”
