More dramas are set to hit the small screen soon. In those dramas, viewers will have the chance to meet their favorite and well-loved female stars. These are the four most highly anticipated names:
Kim Se Jeong
Kim Se Jeong will return with the second season of “The Uncanny Counter: Counter Punch.” The existing enthusiasm from the first season coupled with the thrilling sensation from the teaser of season 2 are hyping up viewers and recurrent audiences for a second season.
In season 2, Kim Se Jeong will reprise her role as Do Ha Na, who will accompany her teammates in the fight against evil spirits. She will fight alongside a new member named Na Jeok Bong (Yoo In Soo) to face new dangers such as Gelly Berherd (Kim Hieora) or Pil Kwang (Kwang Ki Young).
The second season of “The Uncanny Counter” is set to air on July 29 on tvN.
Han Hyo Joo
Han Hyo Joo will return with a supernatural drama filled with intense action sequence called “Moving.”
“Moving” follows a group of people with supernatural powers that can be inherited by future generations. When there is power, there will be those who wield it for their personal gains. Therefore, those with superpowers are to join a fight to protect themselves and others against those who wish to use their powers for evil intent.
Han Hyo Joo will play Lee Mi Hyun, the mother of a student named Kim Bong Seok – who can glide in the sky. She is a part of the main cast, promising to be a central figure in the development of the drama.
“Moving” is set to air on August 9 on Disney+.
Han Ji Min
Han Ji Min is a famous actress in Korea whose amazing acting chops guarantee massive attention from K-drama lovers. Her appearance in “Behind Your Touch” will be no exception.
In this work, Han Ji Min will collaborate with Lee Min Ki. There will be elements of fantasy throughout the drama; however, unlike the previous action-centric dramas, “Behind Your Touch” is a romantic-comedy drama.
The series will be set in a small town where there is a veterinarian Ye Bun (Han Ji Min) who can see anyone’s past. Lee Min Ki will play Moon Jang Yeol, a hot-headed detective from Seoul that comes to the village where Ye Bun works. Aware of Ye Bun’s unique ability, he believes she is the key for him to return to his old life.
“Behind Your Touch” will air on August 12 on JTBC.
Lim Ji Yeon
Lim Ji Yeon has had a fruitful 2023 with countless drama projects and received numerous praises from the audience for her performances in recent works.
After her collaboration with Song Hye Kyo on “The Glory” and “Lies Hidden in My Garden” with Kim Tae Hee, Lim Ji Yeon will appear in another challenging drama – “The Killing Vote.” She will transform into a female officer under the Cyber Safety Bureau named Joo Hyun. She will form a duo with Kim Moo Chan (Park Hae Jin) to pursue a mysterious figure known under the name Gaetal.
When a perpetrator of a heinous crime gets away with their wrongdoings, all citizens in South Korea from the age of 18 and up will receive a message surveying their opinions about a death sentence for that criminal. If more than half of the surveyed population says yes, Gaetal will carry out the verdict.
“The Killing Vote” is scheduled to air on August 10 on SBS.
