BTS achieves the sixth No.1 on Billboard Album Chart ‘Billboard 200’ with “Proof”

BTS’s new album “Proof”, which was released on June 10th, topped the U.S. Billboard Main Album Chart ‘Billboard 200’.

According to a preview article on the U.S Billboard Chart on June 19th (local time), BTS sold 314,000 copies of their album in the first week of its release. Billboard calculates the album consumption rankings by adding up the sales volume of traditional albums, streaming equivalent albums (SEA), and track equivalent albums (TEA).

“The overwhelming majority of that album unit figure was driven by CD album sales”, Billboard said. As a result, BTS has gained six No.1 on ‘Billboard 200’ Chart, starting with “LOVE YOURSELF 轉 Tear” in June 2018, “LOVE YOURSELF 結 Answer”, “MAP OF THE SOUL : 7”, “BE” and now “Proof”.

The result of “Proof”’s title song “Yet To Come” on Billboard Single Chart ‘Hot 100’ will be announced on June 20th (local time). Considering the huge size of BTS’s fandom, they are likely to enter the Single Chart the top ranks.
