Former YG idol… Suspected of drug use, police investigation begins

Channel A’s “Heart Signal 3” Seo Min-jae (29 years old) and South Club Nam Tae-hyun (28 years old) were officially booked by the police on charges of taking drugs.

According to Seoul Yongsan Police Station on August 26th, Seo Min-jae and Nam Tae-hyun will soon be summoned and questioned on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act.

Nam Tae-hyun’s drug suspicion began with Seo Min-jae’s SNS posts. On August 20th, Seo Min-jae uploaded a photo of the couple on her Instagram account along with revelations such as “Nam Tae-hyun takes drugs”, “His syringe is in my room or in my office cabinet”, “And he hits me”…

Afterwards, Seo Min-jae uploaded gibberish posts such as “Nam Tae-hyun and I are druggies”, “I have the syringe Nam Tae-hyun used” and “There’s a recording on my phone.” The next day, she deleted all posts and explained, “At that time, I had taken more psychiatric medications than the appropriate amount due to stress, and I was in a state of loss of reason to the point that I can’t remember exactly what had happened now.”

Netizens who saw the posts reported to the police, and it is known that Yongsan Police Station investigated Nam Tae-hyun before booking him.

Nam Tae-hyun is a former member of YG Entertainment’s group WINNER. He is active in the band South Club after leaving the team.

According to YouTuber Lee Jin-ho, Nam Tae-hyun was kicked out of the team due to various reasons, including bringing women to the dorm, while working as a member of WINNER.
