“Queen of Tears” Drops Posters Hinting At Kim Soo-hyun And Kim Ji-won’s Conflicts

The story of Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Ji-won getting accustomed to their in-laws in “Queen of Tears” is about to begin

On February 23rd, tvN released family posters and teaser video of the new Sat-Sun drama “Queen of Tears”, showing a glimpse of the marriage of Baek Hyun-woo (Kim Soo-hyun) and Hong Hae-in (Kim Ji-won).

The two’s marriage is quite unusual from the start. The posters show the couple having meals with two families. In particular, the Queens family and Yongdu-ri family have completely opposite situations but they become one due to the marriage of Baek Hyun-woo and Hong Hae-in.

Queen of Tears

First, the Queens family gives off a luxurious atmosphere. Living up to their reputation as a Korean top conglomerate, the family members have their meals at a splendidly set table. Baek Hyun-woo stands behind them with a serious expression.

On the other hand, the mealtime of the Yongdu-ri family depicted in the teaser was noisy. A feast of dishes, from baeksuk to galbijjim, filled the table to welcome the daughter-in-law Hong Hae-in. It evoked warmth.

Baek Hyun-woo swiftly maneuvered his chopsticks, while Hong Hae-in looked around as if the situation was unfamiliar to her. In contrast to the relaxed atmosphere of the Yongdu-ri family, the fully set-up appearance of Hong Hae-in felt awkward.

Queen of Tears

An official stated, “The Queens family and the Yongdu-ri family show extreme temperature differences even when they eat together as a family. Please look forward to seeing how the two characters will blend in.

“Queen of Tears” is a romantic comedy work. It follows the dizzying crisis and miraculous rebirth of love between Hong Hae-in, the third-generation Queens Group chaebol and department store queen, and Baek Hyun-woo, the son of Yongdu-ri and supermarket prince.

Meanwhile, “Queen of Tears” will premiere on March 9th at 9:10 PM.
