Former APRIL Core Member Starts Anew After Group’s Disbandment Due to Bullying Controversy

Former APRIL member Lee Jinsol is beginning a new journey with 220 Entertainment

220 Entertainment stated on September 18, “We have signed an exclusive contract with singer Lee Jinsol. We are delighted to welcome Lee Jinsol, who has been loved by the public for her outstanding vocals as well as her bright and lovely charm, to our family.”

They also mentioned, “Lee Jinsol, with various talents and versatility, will be supported in different areas such as music, acting, entertainment, and MC, so she can showcase her capabilities to the fullest.”

Lee Jinsol debuted as a member of APRIL in 2015, gaining attention for her outstanding vocal performances where she handled high-pitched lines.

Later on, she became the first idol to be selected as the MC on the popular EBS program ‘Tok! Tok! Boni Hani,’ receiving much love for her energy and excellent hosting skills. She also ventured into acting by starring in web dramas.

However, in February 2021, she found herself in hot water when allegations arose that she had bullied former APRIL member Lee Hyun Joo. Lee Hyun Joo claimed that she had been mistreated by other members during her time in APRIL, while the group denied the allegations. In January of the following year, APRIL officially disbanded.

Following this, Lee Jinsol embarked on a solo career and released her first self-composed song, ‘Let me out,’ after seven years since her debut. In March, she held her first solo fan meeting, ‘SUNSET GLOW.’

With Lee Jinsol announcing a new journey with 220 Entertainment, fans await her upcoming activities.
