Fans Call Out SM For Discrimination Against Taeyeon, Who Had a Concert on the Same Day as aespa
Fans pointed out that compared to aespa, SM is mistreating Taeyeon when it comes to promoting her on SNS.
On June 23, aespa and Taeyeon both had their own concerts held in different countries. aespa’s LIVE TOUR 2023 SYNK: HYPER LINE took place in Jakarta, Indonesia while Taeyeon’s The ODD Of LOVE was held in Taipei, Taiwan.
Fans later noticed the discrimination in SNS promotions from SM Entertainment when looking at aespa and Taeyeon’s official Instagram.
While multiple stories about the concert were posted on aespa’s official Instagram account, Taeyeon’s official account had no update, despite her having a concert on the same day.
This issue made it into a trending post on the online community Pann, gaining netizens’ attention. The original poster also pointed out that Taeyeon’s concert in Taipei had an audience of 13,000, while aespa’s concert in Jakarta was attended by 5,000 people.
According to OP, Taeyeon’s concert recorded a real-time number of visitors to the ticket booking site of nearly 120,000. However, SM is not promoting Taeyeon.
